MAC: Pro longwear Foundation & Concealer first impressions ♥
09:06My first MAC product was the Studio Sculpt foundation, back then I didn't really know much about coverages and application of make up. I remember it being sticky and too thick. As my relationship with make up grew, I started to buy lipsticks from there and their Zoom Lash mascara. But never the foundations as I was put off. Recently, I decided I would purchase a new MAC foundation and the matching concealer as they now seem to have better formulas. I discovered MAC Pro longwear foundation through watching YouTube videos and it didn't seem anything like MAC Studio Sculpt. So I purchased MAC Pro longwear Foundation and the matching concealer in NC15. ( I got colour matched in Selfridges, better than spending money on the wrong shade!) I ordered them from the MAC website, the foundation was £25.50 and the concealer, £17.50.
The first thing I noticed about the foundation is that it came with a pump, unlike the MAC Studio Fix! Which I am glad as previously I have had to buy one separately! It also has SPF which is always good to protect from everyday UV. It's consistency is quite thin and light, when I applied the foundation I could tell it was not full coverage. The coverage is more medium but I think it will easily be built up to full. My redness and blemishes were covered up really well however some spots still peeked through. I liked it because it evened out my skin tone a lot, without me losing dimension to my face. I like how it has a pump however it can get a bit messy. After leaving some foundation on for ten minutes it hadn't sunk into lines or made my pores look worse, it actually made my skin look hydrated. Overall, I like it!! I will defiantly be using it as my day foundation.

Next I tried the concealer, as it has a pump I wasn't prepared for the amount that was about to come out and so much came out. I'd say be careful when trying to pump some out. I obviously got too much out but even after applying a tiny bit with my fingers it went a long way, you defiantly do not need large amounts. The consistency is quite runny so I didn't expect the best coverage. When I put it under my eyes however, my eyes instantly looked refreshed! The concealer covered my darkness and wasn't dry, it also didn't leave any lines. I will also be using this as my daily concealer although I like to change my concealer up a lot, another I like is the LA Girl Pro Conceal.
