NYX is a known brand for selling cheap but quality products, does this palette meet these standards? My thoughts are yes and no. Read on to find out the pros and cons of this nifty little product.
I have the palette in shade 'LIGHT 3CP01'. It has six shades, three concealer shades, a brown contour shade, a yellow toned highlight shade and a pink corrective shade. They're all cream products and it only cost £7 from amazon. Great price for anyone that wants to try out cream contouring before splashing out a lot for the Anastasia Cream Contour kit which retails at £39.
Excuse the mess of the palette but since this is an honest review it proves I have actually tried it!

The brown
This shade isn't as brown as shown in its pan, it's much lighter. When contouring with this shade I have to add much more product due to low pigmentation. Adding more and more products equals, you guessed it cake face. It's a cycle of add, blend, add more, blend ect. It's tedious but when done right it looks ok! I don't use it daily as it wastes waaaay to much time. If you've got time however it's worth it. I use this cream contour on nights out when I need staying power. This cream product is quite hard to blend.
The concealers
Not much to say about the concealers, good range of shades and high coverage with great pigmentation. However I will say again they are pretty difficult to blend out. Especially when using a brush, I suggest using a damp beauty blender. They tend to look dry and cakey when blended out with a brush.
The yellow highlight
With a similar colour to Anastasia Beverly Hills Banana from the cream contour kit, it does its job as a bright yellow highlight. However once again blending is a problem. This yellow shade is the hardest to blend out of all the shades in the palette, it's kind of like wax. To help it become more creamy I either warm it up with my fingers although it doesn't help much, or add Body Shop oil into it. You could use any oil, Argon oil, Tarte oil ect.
The pink corrective shade
Supposed to be used under eyes to counteract dark circles. It does its job however once again the blending isn't easy. I wish they made this shade more salmoney coloured rather than baby pink.
Overall I do not recccomend this product if you're into high quality high end stuff. If you're a beginner and just wanna try out cream contour I'd give it a whirl just bare in mind the difficult blending! As always you get what you pay for, but it's great for travel as you have a small compact with all the shades you need. I will continue to use this wen I have the time to focus on blending.
Thanks for taking the time to read my review, do you know of any budget contour kits? ♥
